Among the trio of Ville Loppinen (left), soon-to-be-married "Ari Varis" (real name withheld to protect his fiancée), and Jussi Lukkarila, Jari Litmanen beat Mikael Forssell 2-1 in the textile competition, and elsewhere the No.10 shirt was overwhelmingly the fanwear of choice. On the pitch, Forssell was substituted after an hour in favour of Jonatan Johansson, and a half-fit Jari Litmanen - whose participation in the match was in doubt until just before kick-off - came on to rapturous applause with 20 minutes left and showed a few neat touches. The Finns will need his vision in midfield on Wednesday against Belgium if they are to recover from the defeat against Serbia.
