Helsingin Sanomat reported briefly on the discovery of the three-year-old corpse in Helsinki's Punavuori on February 22nd. The man was actually found dead on January 18th, and the discovery was made only because his bank account ran dry and the regular apartment maintenance payments could not be met. There was no suspicion of foul play in the man's death, and police noted that in recent years similar cases of deceased persons being discovered only long after their demise are encountered a few times a year, mainly in Helsinki.
