Katja Niemi will be returning to her job as a teacher in the autumn, after taking time out to raise two-year-old Miska. She has been told that there are no day care places to be had in Paloheinä, where the family lives. Around fifty other children face the same problems, and the shortfall is found in other districts of the capital, as increasing numbers of people take advantage of improving conditions on the job market.
