The killer of a man in Ulvila left several shoe prints on the floor of the house where the murder took place in 2006. It was possible to determine from the tread patterns that the shoes - or boots in this case - were of a specific brand and type, and that they had been in use for some time prior to the killing. Although a widespread screening of retailers' clients was carried out, and images of the shoes were distributed to the public, the killer remains at large.
