WARNING! This little fellow is best left WELL alone. The Amanita virosa or [European] "Destroying Angel" is about as bad as they come, and will put an abrupt and painful end to your mushroom picking if eaten, regardless of how much care goes into its preparation. In this respect it differs dramatically from the false morel or Gyromitra esculenta ("korvasieni" in Finnish), which is poisonous when raw, but regarded as a delicacy hereabouts when cooked after previous parboiling.
