Mikko Ilonen's card on the first day started pretty disastrously, and a five on the par-three 17th probably spoiled his dinner, but thereafter he played 54 holes wihtout a single bogey on the card, and finished 22-under for the tournament. The two rounds of 63 were his best-ever tour performances over 18 holes. The quite ludicrous round of 60 recorded on Saturday by the eventual winner Ross McGowan will not count as a European Tour record as placing was allowed on the fairways during the tournament - the course was very wet from previous heavy rains.
