The mine clearance vessel John Lethbridge moored at Helsinki’s Jätkänsaari Harbour early Monday morning to wait for the weather to clear. The aim is to start the mine clearance operation outside of Helsinki today, Tuesday. The vessel is named after John Lethbridge (1675–1759), who invented the first underwater diving machine in 1715.
