Mikael Granlund picked up the award for the most stirring and dramatic sporting moment of the year for his lacrosse-style air-scoop goal in the World Championships semi-final against Russia. The Finnish ice hockey World Champions squad was named the team of the year in 2011, and the team's head coach Jukka Jalonen picked up the Coach of the Year accolade.
