The Natural History Museum on Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu 13, in the centre of Helsinki, was thoroughly renovated in the period from 2005 to 2008. The building itself was completed in 1913 and served briefly as a Russian boys' school, before it was taken over by the University of Helsinki in 1923.
