After announcing the cuts of 1,000 positions on Wednesday morning, Björn Rosengren, the CEO of Wärtsilä, has told to Helsingin Sanomat that he deems it unlikely that the engineering company will have to introduce further personnel cuts. “The world is changing for the better, and then we will be in a good position,” Rosengren said, reminding, however, that he cannot promise that no further cuts are implemented.
