With Kesko poised to cut roughly 300 jobs at Anttila department stores, Stockmann up to 200 jobs at its warehouses and Marimekko up to 65 jobs at its stores, the past seven days have been rather harsh on employees in the retail sector. Ann Selin, the president of Service Union United (PAM), says that such a “crash” has not been witnessed in over twenty years.
