Henna Lehtonen, a 21-year-old student from Helsinki, has yet to decide which party to vote for in next year's parliamentary elections. She plans to consider the candidates carefully but may not cast her vote for the same party as in the previous elections. “I keep track of the situation, dig around for more information,” she says.

Uncertainty grows among voters
A recent poll commissioned by Helsingin Sanomat shows that the share of independent voters such as Lehtonen has increased by over 6 percentage points from the previous year to 36 per cent.
