Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen (NCP) is unfazed by the threats made by the Greens to abandon the Government if the permit for the construction of Fennovoima's nuclear power plant in Pyhäjoki is brought back to the Parliament for consideration. “If they decide to do so, then they shall. But let's let them clear up the situation,” Katainen said, pointing out that the Greens appear not to have a uniform position on the matter.
“At least the messages from the Greens this morning have been conflicting. I don't know what is true,” the Prime Minister told reporters during an event of the National Coalition in Helsinki on Saturday.
“I would rather not [speak] on behalf of the chair of the Green League. You have to ask the question from him,” Katainen added, referring to Ville Niinistö, the chair of the Greens.
