Jan Vapaavuori, the Minister of Economic Affairs, has announced his intention to run for the position of the chairperson of the National Coalition (NCP) – and thus also for the position of the Prime Minister of Finland. Vapaavuori revealed that he seeks to succeed the Jyrki Katainen at the helm of the NCP in a video published on his web-page on Monday.
