Kim Remitz, the executive director at the Finnish Refugee Council, is bemused by the remarks of Timo Soini, the chairperson of the Finns Party, during a Swedish-language election debate broadcast by YLE on Thursday. The debate broached on the refugee problems encountered in Southern Europe, which according to Soini bear similarities to wartime Finland.
