Employment and Economic Development Offices (TE Offices) are offering vacant positions to increasingly large groups of job-seekers. The increase in the number of job offers made by TE Offices is partly attributable to the adoption of a new statistical method, but even if it is disregarded the number has increased by as much as 60 per cent over a one-year period. A job offer is a notification of a vacancy made to job-seekers by e-mail, letter, phone or face-to-face.
