The budget proposal unveiled by Antti Rinne (SDP), the Minister of Finance, on Wednesday has sparked an outright political row within the Finnish Government. The chairpersons of the ruling parties and key ministers convened on Thursday to address the row in what have been described as heated talks, with Carl Haglund (SFP), the Minister of Defence, and Jan Vapaavuori (NCP), the Minister of Economic Affairs, especially lashing out at Rinne for the manner in which the budget proposal was drafted.
