The Centre has overtaken the National Coalition as the largest political party in Finland, shows a recent poll by Helsingin Sanomat. More than one in five, or 22.3 per cent, of respondents to the poll said that they would vote for the Centre and 19.4 per cent that they would vote for the National Coalition if the parliamentary elections were held now.

Voter support for the National Coalition has thereby slipped by 1.8 percentage points in comparison to a similar poll conducted in early August, whereas that for the Centre has increased by 2.3 percentage points.
