Finnish industries have voiced their concerns over the possibly substantial costs arising from the climate goals for 2030 to be hammered out this week by the European Union. New costs will also arise for both households and the national budget as the objective is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in sectors outside the emissions trading scheme – such as transport, agriculture and housing – notably over the next 15 years.
