Student unions have expressed their staunch opposition to the proposal of the Finnish Government to introduce tuition fees of a minimum of 4,000 euros for university students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Drawn up under the direction of the Minister of Education and Science, Krista Kiuru (SDP), the proposal has also been turned down by Outi Alanko-Kahiluoto, the chairperson of the Green Parliamentary Group.
