More and more pensioners are stuck in a cycle of debt. The share of over 60-year-old guarantee applicants at the Guarantee Foundation has nearly doubled since 2011. Similarly, the number of over 65-year-old people with payment problems has increased from 17,000 in 2012 to 23,000, according to statistics compiled by Suomen Asiakastieto.
