Both the ruling and opposition parties reiterated their desire to spur economic growth and, in particular, to improve the conditions for self-employment as the Parliament convened to discuss the shadow budgets of the opposition parties on Wednesday. Antti Rinne (SDP), the Minister of Finance, commended the opposition parties for their good objectives but argued that their draft budgets are based on “arbitrary” estimates.
