Finns' approach to work is largely positive despite the fact that working life, or at least the debate surrounding it, is characterised by time constraints and the fear of job loss. A recent survey by Statistics Finland finds that work-related uncertainty has grown considerably in Finland since the 1990s. “But that much was expected,” notes Hanna Sutela, a senior researcher at the statistical office.
