Global survey: Finland struggles to attract investments in renewable energy

Finland has been ranked 36th in a survey carried out by Ernst & Young (EY), a multinational provider of consulting and advisory services, of the attractiveness of 40 countries as a destination for investments in renewable energy The countries with the most attractive investment opportunities in renewable energy were China, the United States, Germany, Japan and India, according to the survey. Finland, in turn, was only regarded as a more attractive investment destination than Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Egypt and Russia.

As the Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI) ranks countries according to their attractiveness as a destination for investments in renewable energy, it thereby reflects the views of investors, companies and technology providers of the most attractive markets in the domain of electricity production.
